If you are carrying extra pounds on your waist that seem resistant to diet and exercise, you are not alone. The good news is that there are several procedures to target this area of the body, and Dr. Jiles is here to help you decide which is right for you to address your specific problems.
Dr. Jiles of Jiles Cosmetic Surgery is a talented cosmetic surgeon and a certified member of six different medical boards with fellowship training in Lipo 360 as well as many other procedures. Dr. Jiles offers Lipo 360 surgery in Sarasota, Fl.
Lipo 360 is one of several options to help you get the svelte waist you’ve been dreaming of. Liposuction is used to remove stubborn fat from the abdomen, flanks, and back completely reshaping your core. It is particularly ideal for women who have extra stubborn fat resistant to diet and exercise, and who still retain good elasticity of the skin. If you are unsure about the elasticity of your skin, Dr. Jiles will be able to tell you if you are a candidate for the procedure. The good news is that it is easily combined with a mini tummy tuck and a full traditional tummy tuck in certain situations. However, the most popular procedure to combine it with is fat transfer to the buttocks.
Lipo 360 becomes the ideal option if the abdomen is not the only area harboring resistant fat since it targets fat in the “love handle” area ( flanks) and lower to mid back as well.
Ideal candidates are not smokers, or are able to stop all nicotine products and vaping for 1 month prior and 1 month after the surgery. This is important for wound healing. In general, good candidates for elective surgery do not have uncontrolled medical conditions, and their BMI is ideally under 35. These things do not necessarily exclude you from having a surgery with Dr. Jiles. If these areas are a concern, be sure to ask Dr. Jiles and she will make arrangements to best have your needs met to make the surgery as safe as possible.
Lipo 360 is among the more comprehensive body contouring options available, and the results it can produce, when the procedure is well matched to the patient and performed with attention to proportion, can be genuinely meaningful. What makes Lipo 360 distinct is the full-circumference approach, addressing the abdomen, flanks, and back in a single procedure to create a more cohesive, sculpted result.
Dr. Jiles is a member of the American Board of Cosmetic Surgery, the American Academy of Cosmetic Surgery, and the American College of Surgeons, among other professional boards. Her body contouring work reflects an investment in outcomes that look natural and proportionate rather than overly contoured or artificial. The goal is a silhouette that suits your frame and feels like an authentic version of you.
Because Lipo 360 treats multiple areas simultaneously, the planning process matters enormously. During your consultation, we assess your anatomy, your goals, and any relevant health factors to determine whether Lipo 360 is the right fit for where you are now and what you are hoping to achieve. We also take the time to walk you through what recovery involves, because setting realistic expectations is part of how we support our patients well.
We welcome patients from Sarasota, Bradenton, Tampa, and St. Petersburg who are ready to have a thorough, no-pressure conversation about Lipo 360 and whether it aligns with their goals. Our entirely female team creates an environment that feels safe and supportive, which matters when the discussion involves your body and your sense of self.

You will have your consultation with Dr. Jiles at Jiles Cosmetic Surgery, where she will get your detailed medical history and do an exam.
Your surgery will be performed at our outpatient surgery center, Jiles Cosmetic Surgery. On the day of your surgery a licensed anesthesia provider will place you under general anesthesia. During that time you will be closely monitored for your safety and comfort.
Prior to the surgery you will have markings done and photographs taken by Dr. Jiles. Once asleep under anesthesia in the operating room, the fatty areas to be suctioned will be injected with solution of numbing medication that helps keep you more comfortable after the surgery. Tiny incisions will be made in discreet locations to allow liposuction of the abdomen, flanks, and lower back.
As you awake in the recovery room, you will be assisted by our excellent nursing staff. You will be wearing a compression garment and will have post operative medications prescribed for pain to keep you comfortable, as well as antibiotics.
Anticipate approximately 2 weeks off from work following the procedure to optimize the comfort of your recovery. The worst phase of your post operative pain will subside after the first few days. You will likely have a drain that will be removed by about 2 weeks after the surgery. Plan to not drive the first week or for the remainder of time that you are taking prescription pain medication.
You will immediately notice the difference in your shape after the surgery. There will be significant swelling and bruising of the areas treated with liposuction for up to 2 weeks. After that the swelling subsides and continues to gradually go away until the final healing which occurs between 3 to 6 months for most patients. The tiny incisions will gradually become a thin line, that will be hidden below the waist of panties or a bathing suit bottom.
Dr. Jiles is skilled cosmetic surgeon with extensive experience in Lipo 360 surgery. With skill, and a perfectionist eye she will help you achieve the shape of your dreams.
